lyrics

Electrons dance around an atom’s nucleus
Made of protons & neutrons,
Sometimes two atoms share electrons
And they form covalent bonds.

Groups of atoms make up compounds
We encounter everyday.
Positrons are a different story,
They come from black holes far away.

CHORUS:
Oh-oh-oh antimatter exists! Quantum physics is real.
And what’s most important is the curiosity you feel.
Relativity’s how the universe actually works — whoa-oa!

Well, they’re all subatomic particles,
And they’re way too small to see.
But they make up all the universe,
Every part of you and me.

And it’s really quite amazing,
We can study things so small.
We can test ideas with science,
That’s the coolest thing of all.

CHORUS

Like the phoenix rising from the flame,
They’re born from radioactive decay.
And when a positron meets an electron,
Each transforms into a gamma ray.

Don’t be electrons, always negative.
You could be like protons and stay positive!
Or be like positrons — fight the negativity.
Neutralize; chin up & rise — make the world a better place to be.

CHORUS:
(Because) Antimatter exists…

REPEAT CHORUS:
Oh-oh-oh antimatter exists! Quantum physics is real.
And what’s most important is the curiosity you feel.
(Oo-oo-oo-ooh)
